Who or What Directs Your Life's Travels?

Updated: May 6, 2021

Almost everyone who knows me is aware of the fact that I don’t like to drive anywhere

that is unfamiliar to me. I don’t do well with maps, or GPS.

My husband and daughter get impatient when they try to assist me.

Jim knows every road in West Palm Beach and He is a wiz with a map, but not the best instructor. Dana can’t seem to understand; why I am not proficient with technology.

Her suggestion is always the same; “use your GPS."

I do thank God though, for my very tolerant friend, named Liz, who is always at my

becokon call to give me simple directions and support.

Following accurate directions/instructions while traveling, cooking, sewing,

building something, etc. is necessary for a positive outcome.

However, I tend to cheat and do my own “thang” in almost all the areas above.

I usually, have adequate results in all of these except when traveling.

When it comes to my spiritual life though, I have learned that doing my own “thang”

can lead me in the wrong direction and into dangerous territory.

God’s word is the One road map that I diligently observe and strive to read and

obey. Every situation in my life is addressed in this Book.

I have found answers, wisdom, inspiration, comfort, strength, peace, joy,

encouragement, and help when needed.

The Bible is more than a book. It has become a life line for me and my best friend.

Triple “A” (AAA) can’t compare to God’s rescue service.

There is no wait... just call Him. He is present all the time.

You don’t need GPS, google maps or a compass; just search the concordance.

Your directions and rest stops are right there in black and white.

And the best news of all is; there's no payment due. He picks us up free.

His Son paid the price for us.

I know the Word of God is true and powerful and it has never led me astray. Prov. 30:5

The Bible leads me in a safe direction. Ps. 18:30

God’s Word helps me navigate life .

It is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Ps. 119:105

I have learned to learned to walk by faith and not by sight. 2Cor. 5:7

I can travel the road of life with strength, help and find refuge. Ps. 46:1

The Bible is one book that can direct you to your perfect destination.

If you read it, follow it, live it, memorize it and share it.

The scriptures steer us on the road to sanctification not damnation.

What or who do you depend on for your every day life adventures?

What path will you take; the high road with the Lord and His word;

or an uncertain and uncharted trail?

Let God be your GPS. Let Him take the wheel.
