We can’t escape IT.
Everyone will eventually encounter IT.
Age is not a factor.
You rarely are prepared for IT.
Some people cause IT.
Some people welcome IT;
While others fear IT.
You never know when IT will happen;
where you will be when IT happens;
how IT will happen;
why IT happens;
Or who will be with you when IT happens.
IT could take place with loving friends and family at your bedside;
or with a room full of uncaring strangers; or maybe when you are totally alone.
There are some who unfortunately arrange IT for themselves;
due to mental illness, loneliness, depression, hopelessness and/or despair.
IT can occur suddenly or accidentally,
to the weak or to the strong;
to those who have suffered a long period of time;
or to those who peacefully fall asleep and never wake up.
IT comes and when IT does;
those who are left behind experience a world of hurt for various reasons.
Their tears flow freely when they least expect them.
Memories flood their unsuspecting mind, soul and spirit;
an excruciating pain overwhelms them.
Sorrow will not vanish.
Heartache will eventually ease.
Tears will not flow as often or as frequently.
No words, hugs, family or friends can remove that pain.
There is nothing that can fill the emptiness in their broken hearts.
Being prepared for IT can ease the pain for those who are left behind.
That is, if they are also prepared and ready for IT.
The way to be ready for IT is found in John 3:16.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,
That whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Our hope comes by knowing Christ and trusting in His saving grace.
We will be with our saved loved ones again,
and that can bring a definite peace and comfort.
Prepare for your future, your eternal future.
