On September 19th my daughter, Dana and her husband David threw me the best birthday party I have ever had. This party was a breath of life to all who joined us, after 2 years of being in covid prison.
Everyone had a fun and relaxing time.
My daughter did my hair, my hubby bought me a new dress and I physically felt great and looked great too [if, I do say so myself.}
The room was spacious and gorgeous.
The view was awesome and the atmosphere was filled with joy, love and laughter. The food was delicious, the presents were plentiful and appreciated but the best part of the entire party was having my husband home and all the precious guests that travelled out to celebrate my 70th birthday.
I felt exhilarated and so excited. The time flew by, way too fast but the memories linger, still bringing a smile to my heart and face. I will treasure those few glorious hours for the rest of my life. I cherish every person that attended the party and am so thankful for their friendships and the tons of prayers they have prayed for me and my family over the years.
God has been so gracious to me and blessed me with an abundance of close relationships, prayer partners, spiritual sisters and lots of love. I am so thankful for all the blessings that God has lavished upon me.
Then on September 25th 3 of my friends, Sharron, Josie and Jan {my kidney sister} and I went on a weekend vacation to Las Vegas. Before we left, I prayed and asked
God to send me to people or bring people to me who need to hear an uplifting word. And He did just that. We were able to pray over several cab drivers and ministered to several others. The memory of their reactions to our prayers and our concern touched all of our hearts. Besides being on vacation with my friends, ministering to those we met was the high light of my trip.
It was an unusual and awesome trip with three close sister/friends. We went to the Dolphins vs. Raiders game and also got to go see the Beetles at Cirque du Soleil. We walked the strip and experienced some unexpected sights and undesirable smells. {Marijuana is legal there!}
I am enjoying my life and all of the interesting people I have met over my 70 years. I have done some things in my past that I am not proud of and walked some paths that I should have avoided.
But I also followed my heart that led me to a Christian life, where I discovered whose I am, what my gifts are, what my purpose is and I realize that I am truly loved by God and others. The trials that I have encountered were not to cause me harm but to build my faith and trust in God. I have developed perseverance, character and hope.
Every day I try to live my life to full measure by serving and loving Godand others. I also love myself and accept my short comings without self condemnation.
I am experiencing a renewed life that is rejuvenating me and allowing me to be me.
I am so fortunate to be satisfied and content in a world that is over flowing with so many people who are lost, suffering and unhappy. I thank God daily for all my blessings and pray for those who are less fortunate than I am.
Christ came to give us life not just a humdrum life but an abundant, complete life in Him.
