Joy to the world!
Peace on earth good will toward men!
I’ll be home for Christmas!
Have yourself a very Merry Christmas!
Christmas is a time for miracles!
Christmas - "the most wonderful time of the year!” Or is it?
Christmas is one of the holidays when
churches celebrate two or more days of multiple services and each are usually packed.
Numerous CEOs (Christmas /Easter Only) and others who seldom attend church show up for various reasons.
Friends and families are thrilled to worship
together with their loved ones.
That’s is one of the best gifts ever!
It is the season of joy, cooler weather and or snow for some, manger scenes, menoras, snow men, Santas, presents, colorful lights, decorations, Christmas trees, carolers, ornaments, Hallmark Christmas movies and music, hot cocoa and marshmellows, home made cookies, decorated tables with an abundant supply of the most mouth watering tasty foods and treats fit for a king, and happy gatherings with family and friends .
However, not everyone enjoys and celebrates Christmas the same.
There are so many people that are suffering mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially and any other “...ly word" you can think of.
There are some who dread Christmas time because of loneliness or a devastating
pre-Christmas tragedy, illness, unemployment, loved ones who passed, too commercialized and a host of other scenarios.
Their Christmas may not be merry and bright, joyful, peaceful or anything else worth celebrating.
The real reason for the season:
For unto us a Child is born, unto to us a Son is given:
and the government shall be upon His shoulder:
and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, mighty God,
The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
Jesus is the real reason for the season!
We are never alone because He is Emmanuel, God with us!
He is the Truth that can set us free and He is the Light in the darkness!
He can give us a peace that surpasses understanding!
He can be our joy and strength to comfort and help overcome any disasters!
Christmas can and will be anything we make it.
We can choose our Christmas story-
to be merry and bright or we can be in
the mullygrub grinch group.
The greatest Gift you can receive this year doesn’t come wrapped in shiny paper with a bow.
The greatest Gift you could receive this year comes in a manger and He is FREE.
He came to give you life and give it in abundance.
Oh come, you who are broken or burdened.
Come you who are weary or in waiting.
Come you who are lonely or lost.
Come you who are depressed or discouraged.
If life is difficult and you wonder where God is; He is in the middle of your mess with you.
If you haven’t accepted HIm into your heart and surrendered your life to Him yet, do it now.
Dear God,
Thank You for sending Your Son to us.
Forgive me of my sins and come live in my heart.
I surrender my life into Your loving care
and ask that you be my Lord and Savior.
Amen
