It's not the load that breaks you down, it's the way you carry it.
Lena Horne.
The turmoil we encoutner in our daily journey is not what will last, or even, what really matters. What's really important is how we respond to each situation and how we allow each experience to influence our life and our attitude. One of my daughter's favorite quotes from our pastor was "We all go through problems in our lifetime, but it's the way we deal with them that makes us different from everyone else."
Some people handle their problems and stress in a calm calculating manner with a positive approach as they seek help and support from others and the Lord. Others totally lose it, isolate themselves, fall into devastating depression, abandon their faith and retreat from God.
I have several friends right now who are in the process of dealing with health issues and others who are going through financial and family crises. My heart breaks for them and my earnest prayers go up to heaven for them. Our Father is aware of everything that happens in our lives and He is there to carry our burdens with us. We are told to cast our cares upon the Lord for He cares for us. Psalm 55:22
He is a very present help in our times of need. Psalm 46:1
God has a purpose and a plan for everything that happens to each of us and even though it may not seem like it at the time, His purposes are for our good. Jeremiah 29:11 I have learned from my own hardships that my spiritual maturity grew as I walked through struggles with God by my side. He was with me every step of the way and I grew closer to Him during those times. Isaiah 43:2
However, we are not meant to haul our troubles alone with God but to also seek others who will help lighten our load and pray with us through to victory. God didn't create us to "hang in there" and "get through" life alone. As we go through our own difficulties we can become equipped with tools of compassion, understanding, wisdom, love and heartfelt prayers to lift others up as they travel through their own personal adversities. 2Corinthians 1:4-6
Don't be ashamed or too prideful to ask for help when you are lugging around a heavy load. Many hands make for light work.
