Life is filled with situations that are frustrating and irritating. Some are mild annoyances and others are not. When I googled the topic, the list went on and on with numerous frustrations that people endure, and some of them are pretty ridiculous. There are vexing people, circumstances, sounds, habits and sayings that could cause a person to scream. .
I am trying to work on cultivating my ability to be more tolerant, so I don't allow minor incidents to throw me off my peaceful path for the day. Now when I experience these trivial inconveniences, I shrug my shoulders, smile, and say, "Oh well!'. Some things that frustrate me are so minor and could be avoided, if only others would think about what they are doing or not doing. If people could be kind and more conciderate and aware of others and their needs, there would be less aggravations to deal with each day.
Philipians 2;3b...4 in humility value others above yourself, not looking to your own interests, but each of you to the interests of others.
Luke 6:31 do to others as you would have them do to you.
I've listed some things that I deem irritatinng, they are trivial but bothersome to me just the same.
*One of those that happens often is pictured to the right, minus the "don't panic" note. To find an empty toilet paper roll is bad enough but when there is a full roll on the shelf, "come on people be curtious." How much time does it take to put a new roll on the holder?
Remember, when we had video tapes; the saying was "be kind rewind." My quote for a person that leaves an empty toilet paper roll is "Don't be a troll add a new roll."
*Another pet peeve is when someone leaves just a swig of milk in the milk jug, or an empty mayo jar in the frig.
*I've reached into the pantry to satisfy my sweet tooth with a handful of chocolate covered blueberries from costco, only to find three pebbles left. It was quite disappointing
to say the least.
*Loud, crunching and slurping eaters is another annoyance
*Having someone steal my parking spot after I've waited 10 minutes with my blinker on is needless to say, frustrating.
None of these really amount to a hill of beans, but sometimes, when I share these issues it helps me not take them so seriously. What things push your frustraion buttons?
I wonder at times, if God ever gets irritated or frustrated with me, when I repeatedly promise to do better in a certain area of my life and I fail miserably; or when I stubbornly ignore His still small voice, or refuse to trust and obey Him; or when I don't love Him or others as I should.
God doesn't allow me or any of us to aggravate Him. He always keeps His cool and His peace.
I'm thankful that God has no frustration buttons. Instead He is loving,` patient, kind, gentle, and forgiving. I want to be more like Him.
