Do You Need to Be Rescued?

Updated: Aug 23, 2022

Search and rescue helicopters are used in all types of emergency situations. This form of transportation is used for various reasons. Some are to fly in specialists and equipment into rough terrain or inaccessible locations, and to fly out injured or endangered persons, and carry out rescue operations and evacuations.

Thank God I have never been in that type of dire situation.

I cannot imagine how excited and relieved an injured or trapped person would feel when the sound of the whirling blades and the helicopter engine roars closer to them.

When you go through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. Isaiah 43:2NIV

There are many professionals who are trained to be first responders.

They save those individuals who are dying, lost, injured, imprisoned or trapped in life threatening situaions.

These people risk their lives to save others. They go to work each day and have no idea how their day will unfold.

I wonder how many first responders lose their lives saving others.

I Thank God for these men and women and what they do for others.

We may never be trapped in a burning building, or found clinging to a tree as a flood destroys our neighborhood, or buried under debris after a hurricane, or be in any other catastrophe but we all need to be rescued from something.
