She was a happy and strong woman.
She had a great smile, a jolly laugh and She enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.
She had strong faith and clung to hope.
Flora was actively involved in her church and helped with fund raisers by sharing the talents God gave her.
Music was an important element in her life, and she was a true entertainer.
She sang, had her own karaoke machine, loved to dance and took up belly dancing.
She was an independent woman and had her own opinions on life, her spirituality, her medical care and her death.
Flora reminds me of a diamond.
Diamonds are cut to be multifaceted to make them shine and beautiful, but I think Flora was born naturally multifaceted and beautiful.
Flora was a caring operating room nurse who found ways to have fun with her coworkers on and off the job site, Flora loved her chocolates and always had a stash in her locker. When I was having a rough day she would offer me a chocolate or just drop one in my pocket.
Chocolate always seems to have a way of relieving stress.
Sometimes, when you work with a group of people in a stressful situation; you become more than coworkers and friends.
If you are lucky, you might just become a family, celebrating together, laughing together, and enjoying life together.
Families care for each other and help each other when they are in need.
Flora was blessed to be a member of such a family at work who helped her adjust through her illness and brought laughter, sent prayers and showed her love when she needed it most.
Flora did not lose heart. Though outwardly she was wasting away, yet inwardly she was being renewed day by day in her spirit. She kept her eyes not on what she saw, but on what was unseen. She knew that what she saw was only temporary, but what was unseen was for eternity. 2Corinthians 4;16 & 18.
She was a brave woman who fought a good fight and with the help of her family, friends and God, she stood strong to the end. Flora will be missed and remembered. She will be remembered not only for who she was, or what she did, but also for the way she encountered her giant affliction and persevered without regret, self pity or fear.
Live each day as if you were dying.
Be spiritually ready for your future destination.
Love others and try to out serve them.
Forgive and put the past behind you.
Be kind to each other daily.
