Carletta's Calling

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. {Galatians 5:22-23} These words are the actions and characteristics of the life I want to emulate. I know how I should live. I know what I should do and how I should speak to others. I also understand the proper way to treat people, as most of us do.

So why can't I make it through one entire day without slipping up?

The most difficult fruits (listed above) to usher into fruition in my life are patience,

gentleness, and self control. Which ones do you find challenging?

So many days I fall short of my goals. The struggles of life and encountering people-difficult people tend to veer my car of righteous behavior into the wrong lane on the highway of destruction. I wake up with good intentions but it doesn't take long

before I realize, I'm in the frame of mind or heart that I have tried to avoid.

Why do I get in such a hurry and want everyone to respond quickly?

Why is it so difficult to treat others the way that I want to be treated?

What do I have to learn to keep my big mouth shut, when I have a sarcastic phrase I want to let loose on an unsuspecting soul?

I need help controlling my mind, mouth, mood, and attitude!

How about you?
